Today Apple released a new ipod to their already impressive line-up, a new ipod shuffle. I, basically what would you would call a mac fanboy, always back apple for whatever they do. However, i simply do not like the fact that there are no buttons on the device. This means i can only listen to my ipod through the earbuds provided, not a speaker system or third party brand earphones. It is just not right to not have any buttons on the device. The device is almost too sleek and portable, and i also belive that the voice feature is completely useless.

Attempting to install Safari 4 beta on Ubuntu via WINE
ok so yesterday i thought it would be cool if i could use safari on ubuntu through wine
The installation seemed to work, but the application would not launch successfully. I belive this is probably due to safari not launching from the .exe file. I will continue to experiment and see if i can eventually have some success….
Jailbreaking 2.2.1 first generation ipod touch…
ok so for the past few days i have been attempting to jailbreak my beloved ipod touch.
However i have not been successful so far. Basically my problem is that i have to restore the ipod to what i like to call a “virgin” 2.2.1 firmware before i run quickpwn. I will eventually do this…
the other problem is that i really dont want to reconfigure my mail accounts and contacts, so i might try copy and pasting the back up files containing that information.
Windows…why do we use it?
As those who follow me on facebook and twitter know, i have switched to ubuntu linux as my main OS. I do not regret it in anyway. It is much faster, and uses my hardware components much more effeciently. The only reason i must still use windows every once and a while is to sync my two ipods. i soon hope WINE will be able to open itunes and my itunes library.
